The Apex 880 support auto installation where no installation cd required, the drivers and client software install directly from the modem and will install themselves the first time the Apex is plugged in.
The modem joins the latest generation of these modems and includes a microSD slot and GPS technology to shuttle information from a single device.This HSPA modem offers theoretical maximum data speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps (megabits per second) on the downlink, and up to 2.0 Mbps on the uplink. The modem itself is also slightly smaller than the previous models, measuring just 85mm x 37.5mm x 15mm. This modem also equipped with a rotating USB hinge up to 360 degree for flexibility with all types of USB port orientations to suite your USB Port and a laptop clip to help improve modem performance.

Modem ni yang sepatutnya anda pakai sekiranya langgan Celcom Broadband tak kira D68 atau D98, ianya memang bestttt, dahla murah sikit dari kawan dia yang lain pasai tak pakai bateri

ghufx try la guna tgk MDMA tu, check tgk kawasan tu, berapa dBi leh dapat dgn modem nih…kalau bawah dari -60 dbi kira cun la,,ni saya dok guna K3565 pun dapat -90 dbi aja walaupun dok 50 meter aja dari pemancar 3G nih…tu yang nak tau performance dia tuh

Signal reception bagus tak ? ghufx coba buat try test banding semua modem yg ada tu. try tarik signal digi/umobile sebab kalau test dgn celcom ceruk kampung pun ada signal 3g.

i bought this modem, it is very useful, but im using Mac OSX, i just found out in Mac OSX, the Watcher software features are limited than PC version, just to ask you, is there any solution i can check my celcom 3G usage in OSX?

bro karim.. yg 880 ni aku tak tau ade bateri ke idok, tapi dia cakap mmg takde bateri. yg mcm aku punya mmg sah sah ade bateri. tapi, setiap bende yg ada guna utk tarik signal, mesti ade bateri. (aku bukan tau,tapi aku rasa mcm tu la) mungkin dlmnye ada internal bateri atau benda lain mcm kapasitor ke apa tah yg boleh simpan tenaga. tak tau plak apa kegunaan kapasitor ke transistor. tapi aku percaya, bila ada karen, nanti ada benda yg bagi dia tenaga utk tarik signal.
aku pakai mmg takde masalah modem sierra nih.. paling hebat dpt -76 utk gprs dan -79 utk umts. dan sejak dua menjak ni, tah nape celcom nih, dia cuma bagi paling hebat pun -83 (pun 4 dr 5 bar, kalau -76 baru full bar..stakat -77 masih 4 dr 5 bar)..tapi pada aku, sama aje kelajuan internet aku.. pernah sampai -94.. pun mcm sama?? cuma agak lambat sikit aje.. dr page ke page la.. kalau test speedtest..sama je kelajuan..
so, aku rekemen ar memana modem sierra..especially yg ni.. akunye dia dah tak kuarkan lagi..so baik la amik ni..usb dia bole putar mana mana arah..best gak.. akunye cuma dlm 180 darjah je.. (hampir la)..

Hi All, I own this modem also. I got a question, just curious on whether there is some problem with my modem coz….
There are 2 LED light on the modem, one is the power light and the other is the reception light. I am curious that the power light from Green to Red just now, while the reception light is green. Can anyone help to explain about this situation? Is there something wrong with my modem? Thanks.

@gwong : Go to connection on 3g Watcher, go to frequency band change the value from automatic to 3G only.

is it permanent? or just a while? i face the situation like you before, but it is only temporary. but i am using the 881u. not this apex 880. what i did was, i log off my pc, make sure the connection is correct, and pray it wont happen again.
it never happen again ! but i’m pretty sure that i had connect my modem firm and tight before that. i really dont know what cause the light turn to red.

while searching to buy apex 880…i came across 2 types…
one, buy online, has GPS built with it(rm338).
two, found around KB(where im studying) without GPS(rm239)
So, which is original or the proper one?

@Man Celcom : hang ada banyak modem kan? aku rasa aku pernah baca ko ada k3565 dan apex 880 nih.. kalau ko pakai k3565 ada dc tak? dan apex 880 ni pernah dc tak? dgn syarat k3565 ko tidak diikat dawai tembaga tu.. maksudnye standard sama standard.. kalau ada dua modem senang nampak perbezaan performance dia..

ghuf, lampu hijau bertukar ke merah, dan dia senang dc masa lampu power jadi merah. aku da try macam mana yang ko suruh wong buat, tapi still tak ilang lampu merah tu. macam mana ek?
pastu sesapa yang bole tolong carikkan manual apex 880 tak? nak tengok pasal lampu power dia ni. terima kasih.

buat jiwa tertekan…modem yang lebih baik adalah k3565 huawei kerana kemampuan boost lebih tinggi tetapi bila panas memang lah kerap dissconnect…jangan salahkan modem aja…software VMC tuh pun kacau jugak……baik guna mobile partner secara berasingan …dari segi lain zte ada kebaikanya sekiranya nak guna lama kerana payah disconnect walaupun use lebih 5 jam sebab ianya gemuk sikit …board dalam modem tuh pun lebih kecil dan antenna lebih mini…dalam nya banyak ruang pengaliran haba…macam perabot sikit rumah besar lebih sejuk lah kan….buat modem apex…yang terbaik ambik yang ada GPS pasal yang itu ori…bukan made in china…antenna GPS dalam tuh bantu reability 3g dalam modem tuh….maksudnya meningkatkan kualiti signal lebih optimum dari Apex celup china tuh
