is it true if this modem can handle voice calling, which speaker and mic input can handle this?
is this modem can be used with addtional antena like the E160G and E169…
Cause i already look at the product in mall, but found nothing about the antena socket, just the fact that it is the replacement for E169 and having higher prices than E160G…
despite the fact in can handle HSDPA 7,2Mpbs and uplink 384Kbps , a slight different than E160G with its HSDPA 3,6Mbps and uplink 384Kbps…
it cant be used with additional antena

I’ve been using this modem for the last two weeks with my desktop at home. I’m telling U it’s a tough USB Modem. I use it from 9 pm to 8 am, especially during weekends. It will get hot when used more than an hour but won’t influence its performance. I always get five bars of signal (91 to 99% signal strength) when using it for the internet.
It is true that this bad ass can handle voice calling or mail sending. However I ‘ve never succeeded doing so simultaneously when my desktop is connected to the web. It is likely caused by the pre-paid 3G card that I use. It’s been over sold that the bandwith, that the 3G’s operator provides, is extremely reduced.
One more thing, its casing is tough as well as its performance. I dropped it once. It was a quite hard crash when it hit the floor. I thought it was totally broken. Amazingly it still works, until today. I found no cracks nor scratches on it.

how do we reach the antena hole….i touch the product and looking at it, but cannot switch anything to make it open, is it better than E160g , coz my e160g is crappy and always dc…
if we download something with K3520, about 20mb in size, will it okay?
coz i try with my e220 and it works fine, while trying with my e160g and failed….
i need the k3520 because it is as slim as e160g, and need it as a replacement for my crappy e160g….

Yes,this modem is unlocked,only replace apn to : my3g (U-Mobile apn) instead of celcom3g (used by celcom).

Ei,wanna ask u guys smething.i bought diz thing last month n the dealer gave me 2 simcard…1 for postpaid n another one fr the modem to connect to the net.i wonder if itll cost additional charges if i use the internet sim card(which is for the modem)on my 3g phone for intrnet surfing??or does it effects my postpaid bill??my parents are mad at me coz they thought it has additional payment n im online using my phone everyday…using the internet sim card….help me plz before its too late!

Faez – no additional charges will b incurred if u’re using the internet SIM on your 3G phone. Your postpaid bill will not b affected since each postpaid and 3G service is using separate SIM.

bizzport, get new firmware for your modem, original firmware and dashboard for e160 can’t support vista above basic, like home premium dan ultimate because conflicted with Aero Vista Technology

ok, untuk vista masalah yang dialami adalah compatibility issues dan dashboard support, baik guna mobile partner yang boleh didownload kat sini, satu lagi bila install vmc ka atau apa jenis pun dashboard dialer tu termasuklah sierra ka, globe atau option pun, set kat properities, bukak compatibility issuses, set ke windows xp sp2 dan matikan advance text service, lain program lain dari huawei product dan sekutu tadi pun leh cuba tukar compatibility issues ini tgk, tgk kesan nya kat vista you all, kat vista pun akan ada pelbagai setting yang boleh dimatikan

ada sape2 nak cadangkan ape modem yang paling bagus sebab aku nak beli 2nd modem. kriteria2nyer adalah: kurang panas bila guna lama2, support 7.2, dapat tarik signal kalo berada di kawasan poor coverage, harga mahal sikit pun tak kisah.

I purchased a K3520 online from China for use locally in Kenya on Zain network but I am having problem using any more. Ok, at first it installed itself and I managed to go online for a day but come second day it was not working. I unstalled and reinstalled but never working anymore. I have downloaded Huawei datacard update wizard it installed ok but I can’t still access internet.
When I go to the devise manager it’s not available.
Please help, I have been online searching for any possible solution all in vain

Upset sangat bila kat ofis yg ada aircond, k3565-z ni ok je connection dia.. dah 2 kali test dan no connection problem. Tapi bila saya balik rumah, mula connect jam 8.30 pm, dia akan stabil dlm 15minit. Lps tu dia lost connection (mula-mula simbol globe kat network icon bahagian kanan bawah sekali skrin akan hilang) dan tak boleh surf internet. Tapi VMC still tunjuk connected. Once saya disconnect dan try to connect semula, VMC akan kata “tak boleh connect sebab device sedang dipakai-lebih kurang la”. Saya pun cabut modem k3565-z tu dan try connect balik. Barula boleh surf semula. tapi hanya bertahan 5 minit sahaja kemudian jadi balik disconnected. dua tiga kali try pun sama je. Fed up la… modem panas bila pegang. Adakah faktor suhu modem menyebabkan dia terputus-putus??? Bayar tau.. bukan tak bayar.. Please help. Thanks in advance.. (spec: Laptop Dell versa e6310, vista business sp1)

VMC tu memang tak canggih langsung, dia tak memahami persekitaran negara kita pasai negara dia orang (Amerika dan lain negara 4 musim) yang buat VMC untuk modem Huawei guna UMTS tak sama dengan kita,modem tu pun memang lahir kat negara sejuk kan…China atau Taiwan…. kalau leh, guna aja mobile partner yang boleh di download di website ni…….try tgk pasai dia ni tak kira sangat latency sebagai ukuran sambungan internet tapi guna dBi

bro man celcom, thank 4 da info. act, saya dah try download mobile partner, tapi bila dia dah run, dia kata no device connected. saya dah try cucuk bukak cucuk balik modem tapi still dia identify modem tu. memang hajat hati xmau guna vmc, tapi mobile partner tak boleh run. any advice?

ok, tentang ni bleh diselesaikan sekiranya cari driver modem secara berasingan, unistall semula VMC dan install dulu mobile partner selepas restart computer untuk unistall VMC, jangan buh VMC lagi waktu tu, cucuk modem selepas buh mobile partner selesai dan bukak mobile partner waktu install VMC dan ingat modem mesti dicucuk pada laptop waktu tu…try dulu, jgn kacau waktu windows detect driver modem , terus ok aja tau

Be careful when opening the K3520, because the housing will split as mine did, when you use too much force. You should press forcefully on the flanks of the stick while separating both halves of the housing.

You have two options to enable telephony for your stick:
1. Download a generic update from Huawei (http://www.huawei.com/mobileweb/en/doc/list.do?type=-1&id=4381), update your stick and reinstall Mobile Partner from the stick. With that version of Mobile Partner telephony will be enabled by default.
2. Close Mobile Partner and open C:\Program Files\Mobile Partner\config\PluginsConfig.xml with some texteditor and find the following section:
After insert:
Now do the same for the section starting with:
Save the changes and restart Mobile Partner.
Now a button called “Call” should appear in Mobile Partner, through which you can place and receive phone calls.

Anyway, I have a better solution for you guys now:
Just download this version of PluginsConfig.xml and save it to C:\Program Files\Mobile Partner\config while overwriting the existing version. Thereafter start Mobile Partner and you should have the “Call” function activated.
That file will make telephony available for the following Huawei/Vodafone sticks:
E169, E169V, K3520, E160, E160G, E160E, E160X, K3565, K3715

I need to get better signals where I deploy the E160. The external antenna plug is CRC9 but I could not find anybody in Malaysia selling them. Found a few on e-bay being sold by sunsunsun. I prefer high gain antennas. What can you recommend?

Saya dah bisa mengaktifkan tombol panggilan/voice call di dashboard mobile partner, namun setelah melakukan panggilan tak ada suara yang keluar dilaptop saya maupun di handphone yang di call, bagaimana caranya agar suara/voice panggilan telepon dapat didengarkan di laptop atau di handphone tersebut..?
