Unlock GPS Function on Sierra Wireless 881U

Want to use your GPS function on your Sierra Wireless 881U ? To those who owned the locked version on 881U, MyCeloteh.Com brought to you a free tutorial on how to unlock this GPS feature. So let get started .
Firstly you have to update your 881U Firmware to the latest version. Download link provided below.
Downloaded a total of 2385 times
Installation Note
1. Please remove your Sim card before flashing the firmware.
2. If you’re using laptop, please use AC power adapter, don’t rely on your laptop battery.
3. Double click on AC881U_F1_2_3_15ap.exe provided above.
4. Wait until the firmware update process finish.

For MAC i’m not sure. Maybe you can unlock it on windows and use it on MAC.

FYI the original 881U is already have GPS function enable. The the carrier such as AT&T lock it for their own reason.So unlock it back should not be a big problem for the device. It is safe.

hi there, I have an AT&T 881u, is it safe to upgrade the firmware with the non AT&T firmware like one in sierrawireless.com?
the AT&T version has “15CAP” at the end of file name, while the non AT&T has “15ap”

I have ATT cell phone, but I want to buy UNLOCKED Sierra wireless AT&T 881U. My question can I use my SIM Card of my cell to this UNLOCKED Sierra AT&T 881U to get internet ?

Hello experts,
After running the AC881U_F1_2_3_15ap.exe, my Sierra 881U GPS is in ‘Software installation Mode’ and cannot change back to ‘Modem Mode’. Anyone out there know why this is happen?

err..alamak.. bro.. brooooo… aritu (lama dulu) aku update firmware terkini. aku kene bukak sim card kalau nak install? aku main bedal aje.. dah lepas dpt dr website dia, aku masih online lagi, aku terus klik ‘run’… kat mana nak baca sebelum nak install kene kuarkan sim card dulu.. siut je.. aku tak nampak la.. tak ape ape ke kalau tak bukak sim card? ke ini hanya utk unlocked gps aje?

@ Nurlan : As mentioned above, SW881u is not voice enabled.
Means SW881u CAN’T BE USE for voice call.
