Vodafone recently made an agreement with Huawei to further improve the E270 USB modem design and they came out with the E272 instead which incorporates a stylish and sexy design with an affordable price.(scroll down for the price).Lets take a look at the specification.

to sham: It is hard to find the 1 to 1 warranty for 6 month from other distributor,they only give you 3 month 1 to 1 warranty only.FYI the Huawei E270 we offer 1 year warranty with 3 month 1 to 1 .Hope you understand. It is not demo version.

I’ve just buy an e270 from ghuf. Funny things happened in blue cube… I ask the sale person to test this modem when I subscribe d68… she failed to do so… only know how to connect with blue cube modem… ha…ha…ha..
Actually this modem is unlocked… I’ve to do some setting first… and It’s work just fine…

To nirla: Huawei E272 adalah HSUPA modem,maksudnya uplink nya lagi laju iaitu 2.1mbps berbanding E220 yang hanya 384kbps uplink(upload) shj.Prestasi upload akan meningkat.
To salmie: mmg kalau brand huawei akan panas sedikit,ttp itu normal,performance xdrop.

Sorry all for late reply,it is my busy week after all..
To phyls : Actually,got customer from kuching and miri,im using courier to send it out,take 1 day to reach there.
Actually there are a little bit different when using at&t(expecially sierra) compare to Huawei E220 Actually im comparing only this type, not means the whole huawei will experience this. When im using The Sierra 875U the signal will stick to HSDPA( i got HSDPA) signal means not drop to 3G signal, but when im using huawei e220 the signal will drop at least 2 times in 1 hour usage, they will be connection drop when the signal goes to 3G connection and then will shift again to HSDPA signal.

personally i think e272 lagi elok kot. sebab bandwidth nye lebih luas cm jelapang, 7.2Mbps. senang la signal nak masuk. e160g cuma takat 3.6Mbps.

In terms of downlink or network retrieval, is there any improvement in e272? i know the uplink’s faster so now i wanted to know if there’s some improvement in downlink and network retrieval(the way it retrieves the network signal).. If it can detect HSDPA better than i would love to buy it..

Hello zul,
1. Kelebihannya support HSDPA dan leh guner sebagai broadband modem (heheh)..
2. Kelemahannyer plak mempunyai masalah dari segi firmware, dashboard software very hard to update and the important is mempunyai banyak masalah dari segi speed TCP/IP tweaking (MTU, RWIN Scaling/Unscaled and etc).
3. Speed become slower by use this modem, tapi ikut nasib gak..kalau dapat yang blu cube jenis “tweak skali da laju”…memang best…ps* ader gak la aku jumper yg pakai jenis blue cube cam nie….

Salam singgah. Saya pakai 3G gak. Celcom Blue Cube, ada sebarang post bagaimana nak tingkatkan kelajuan. Average 300 ke 500 kbps jer
, sedangkan amik full package.
Lagi satu, kat sini tak ramai orang pakai 3g (Perak, Sri Iskandar), setahu saya kalau tak ramai lagi lajulah kan ?

modem works ok with mac although the mobile connect app will make your system crash all the time. go for using it without mobile connect on osx. looks nice with macbook / velcro’d to back.

Mungkin utk jangka masa pendek pandangan tuh betul…tapi utk jangka masa panjang berbaloi..satu lg utk di kongsikan bersama, setiap modem jenis hsupa contohnya Sierra 881U di upgrade featuresnya spt Data Antenna Technology,Data Traffic Technology, GPS dan byk lagi yg xterdapat utk model sebelumya,features ini bukan shj utk fungsi HSUPA malah diguna utk fungsi HSDPA yg akan meningkatkan perfomance utk HSDPA juga.Malah apabila dibandingkan prestasi E272 dan E220 mmg ada perbezaan signal quality,maksudnya antenna utk modem baru ini dipertingkatkan.

ghuf.. depa semua dok tanya antara e160g la e220 la ngan produk hang yg hang promote gegila ni e272.. yang aku nampak ada yg hang cakap better performance in reception dan uplink yg lebih beso (e272) walhal svc provider takde bg lagi mende tu, tapi dia upgrade mende mende lain dlm modem tu. yang aku nak tanya ni, apa ke bestnye model yg mula ngan urup K dan E model huawei ni.. cuba citer bebetul mana yg lebih kuat penerimaan signal. model E ke K.. dan dan dlm E mana yg lebih power penerimaan signal dan gitu gak dlm model K. Dan model mana patut aku pakai kalau aku guna digi unlimited data yg dilimitkan penerimaan signal hanya kepada edge je tu.
cuba hang suggest kan kat aku.. penat aku baca, aku pun tak tau mana satu nak beli atau nak curi. silap curi kang, tak leh guna, pun tak guna gak 
jadik sebagai sales person yg bagus mcm ko ni, patut ko boleh suggest kan mana lebih baik utk pengguna mcm aku ni. tmpt aku jarang ada edge. ke aku kene beli antena panjang mcm umah area johor sana supaya leh tgk siaran tv singapore?
